For many students, college is a dream they prepare for. For Mikaela Dolores, it was also something she had to work hard to make possible.
While still in high school, Mikaela began tutoring children in their neighborhood, not because she was already planning to become a teacher, but because she wanted to help support her own education. Every tutoring session became an opportunity to earn while continuing to pursue her studies.

For many students, college is a dream they prepare for. For Mikaela Dolores, it was also something she had to work hard to make possible.
While still in high school, Mikaela began tutoring children in their neighborhood, not because she was already planning to become a teacher, but because she wanted to help support her own education. Every tutoring session became an opportunity to earn while continuing to pursue her studies.
What started as a practical way to provide for herself slowly revealed something more. Along the way, she discovered a genuine passion for teaching.
Her patience, dedication, and natural ability to connect with young learners caught the attention of Pisara Learning Center. We welcomed Mikaela as one of our part-time Assistant Tutors, where she continued developing her skills while balancing the demands of being a student herself.
Despite her young age, Mikaela has already gained years of hands-on teaching experience. She has worked with learners from different backgrounds, helping them build confidence, strengthen their academic foundations, and discover that learning can be enjoyable when guided with patience and care.
Today, Mikaela is pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English, a journey that reflects not only her love for learning but also her commitment to becoming the kind of educator who makes a lasting difference in the lives of her students.
At Pisara Learning Center, we believe that education changes lives in more ways than one. Sometimes, we help a child discover confidence in the classroom. Other times, we help nurture future educators who will one day inspire countless learners of their own.
